VOLTA — Refund Policy

At VOLTA, every jersey is a unique, hand-embroidered work of art crafted across our three ateliers in Versailles and Paris. We stand behind the quality of every piece we create — and we believe your shopping experience should be as premium as the product itself.
1. DO WE ACCEPT RETURNS?
Yes. Returns are accepted within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery — no questions asked. We have deliberately set this window at twice the legal minimum because we trust our customers and stand behind our products entirely.
2. RETURN ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- The item must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- The embroidery must be untouched and fully intact
- All original tags and protective elements must remain attached
- A valid order number must be provided
Items that have been worn, washed, damaged, or altered by the customer are not eligible for return — no exceptions.
3. RETURN COSTS
- Defective, damaged, or incorrect item: VOLTA covers 100% of return shipping costs and provides a prepaid label immediately.
- Change of mind or size issue: VOLTA covers return shipping costs worldwide. We offer free returns on all eligible orders — no hidden fees, no surprises.
4. RETURN WINDOW
You have 30 calendar days from your confirmed delivery date to initiate a return. Requests submitted after this period may be declined. We recommend initiating your return as soon as possible to ensure smooth processing.
5. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN
Contact our team at contact@volta.com with the following information:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- Reason for return
- Photos of the item (required if defective or damaged)
You will receive within 24 hours:
- A Return Authorization Number (RAN)
- Full return instructions
- A prepaid return shipping label
Do not send any return without prior authorization — unauthorized parcels will not be accepted or processed.
6. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Contact us at contact@volta.com within 7 days of delivery (vs. 48 hours chez Maison Brodery)
- Attach clear photos of the item and its packaging
- We will offer you the choice of a full replacement or a complete refund including shipping costs — whichever you prefer
7. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items cannot be returned:
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered after delivery
- Items returned without their original tags or packaging
- Fully personalized pieces with custom additions specifically requested at the time of purchase (e.g., custom name embroidery), unless they arrive damaged or defective
8. REFUND PROCESS
Once your returned item has been received, inspected, and approved at our atelier:
- A confirmation email is sent to you immediately
- Your refund is processed within 3 business days (vs. 7 chez Maison Brodery)
- Your bank may take up to 5 additional business days to reflect the amount
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
9. EXCHANGES
Unlike most artisan ateliers, VOLTA offers direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for a different size or an available design:
- Initiate your return as described above and indicate your exchange preference
- Once we receive your item, we will ship the replacement immediately
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability at the time of processing
If your preferred exchange item is unavailable, a full refund will be issued automatically.
10. ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase (vs. 12 hours chez Maison Brodery) by contacting us at contact@volta.com. After this window, the embroidery process may have begun and cancellation may no longer be possible. If your order has already shipped, the standard return policy applies.
11. INTERNATIONAL RETURNS
VOLTA accepts returns from all countries we ship to. For international returns:
- VOLTA provides a prepaid return label for all eligible returns worldwide
- Import duties and taxes originally paid are non-refundable
- Please label your parcel clearly as "Return — No Commercial Value" to avoid unnecessary customs delays and fees
