Welcome to VOLTA ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Sale govern all purchases made through our website www.volta.com and outline your rights and obligations when buying from us.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Sale, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Returns Policy.

2. ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE

To place an order with VOLTA, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old, or have verified parental consent
  • Provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information
  • Use a valid payment method that belongs to you

VOLTA reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order where fraudulent, suspicious, or unauthorized activity is detected. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.


3. PRODUCT INFORMATION & AVAILABILITY

At VOLTA, we are committed to providing accurate, detailed descriptions and high-quality photography for every product. Please note:

  • Artisanal process: Every jersey is individually hand-embroidered across our ateliers. Slight natural variations in embroidery placement, density, or thread shading may occur between pieces. These are not defects — they are the hallmark of genuine handmade art.
  • Colors: Product colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings, lighting conditions, and device calibration.
  • Limited editions: All VOLTA drops are strictly limited. Once a design sells out, it is permanently retired — no restocks, no reprints.
  • Availability: In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after your order is confirmed, we will notify you within 24 hours and offer either a replacement or a full refund — your choice.
  • Intellectual property: All embroidery designs created by VOLTA are original works of art, registered and legally protected. Any reproduction or imitation is strictly prohibited.

4. PRICING, CURRENCY & TAXES

  • All prices are displayed in EUR by default, with local currency conversion available where supported.
  • EU customers: Prices include applicable French VAT (TVA).
  • International customers (non-EU): You may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or local clearance fees upon delivery. These charges are the customer's responsibility and are not included in the product price. VOLTA is not responsible for delays or additional costs related to customs clearance.
  • VOLTA reserves the right to update prices or modify promotions at any time without prior notice. Price changes will never affect orders already confirmed.

5. ORDERS & PAYMENTS

When you place an order with VOLTA:

  1. You receive an order confirmation email immediately after purchase.
  2. Once your piece has been hand-embroidered and dispatched, you receive a shipping confirmation with tracking number.
  3. All payments are processed securely via SSL encryption. VOLTA does not store your full payment information at any time.

Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Cartes Bancaires, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna, and all secure gateways available at checkout.


6. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

VOLTA ships worldwide to 50+ countries with free shipping on every order, no minimum required.

Production & Handling Time: Because every VOLTA jersey is hand-embroidered to order across our ateliers in Versailles and Paris, please allow 2–5 business days for production before dispatch.

Estimated Delivery Times:

  • France & Europe: 3–7 business days
  • United Kingdom: 5–10 business days
  • United States & Canada: 7–14 business days
  • Rest of the world: 10–21 business days

Delays: Delivery times may be affected by customs inspections, local postal conditions, or peak demand periods. VOLTA is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs authorities once the parcel has been dispatched. However, we will always actively assist you in resolving any delivery issues.


7. DAMAGED, LOST, OR MISSING PACKAGES

Damaged or incorrect items:

  1. Contact us at contact@volta.com within 7 days of delivery
  2. Provide clear photos of the item and its packaging
  3. We will offer you a full replacement or complete refund including shipping — your choice, processed within 3 business days

Lost packages: If tracking shows no movement for 7 consecutive days, contact us immediately. We will open an investigation with the carrier and, once loss is confirmed, issue a full replacement or refund without delay.


8. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

Please refer to our dedicated Refund & Returns Policy for full details. Key points:

  • 30-day return window from confirmed delivery
  • Free returns worldwide on all eligible orders
  • Direct exchanges available subject to stock
  • Refunds processed within 3 business days of receiving your return
  • 24-hour cancellation window from time of purchase

9. ORDER CANCELLATIONS

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase by contacting us at contact@volta.com. After this window, embroidery production may have begun and cancellation may no longer be possible. If your order has already shipped, our standard return policy applies automatically.


10. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & IMPORT FEES

For international orders outside the EU, customs duties, import taxes, and local clearance fees may apply depending on the destination country. These fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the VOLTA order total. VOLTA is not responsible for package refusals or returns due to unpaid customs duties. We recommend checking your country's import regulations before placing an order.


11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All embroidery designs, visual identities, creative works, brand assets, and content published on the VOLTA website are the exclusive property of VOLTA and are registered with the relevant intellectual property authorities in France and Europe. Any reproduction, imitation, resale, or unauthorized use of VOLTA's designs or brand identity is strictly prohibited and will be subject to immediate legal action.

All trademarks, logos, and club identities visible on original base jerseys remain the exclusive property of their respective owners. VOLTA creates original art and does not sell replicas or counterfeit merchandise of any kind.


12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

VOLTA shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind
  • Issues arising from incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer
  • Delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, or third-party logistics providers
  • Loss or damage resulting from events outside our reasonable control

Our maximum liability in any case is strictly limited to the total amount paid for the order in question.


13. FORCE MAJEURE

VOLTA shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, transportation disruptions, industrial strikes, cyberattacks, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will communicate proactively with affected customers and offer appropriate solutions.


14. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms of Sale are governed exclusively by French law. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.

For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your country of residence remain unaffected by this clause.


15. UPDATES TO THESE TERMS

VOLTA may update these Terms of Sale at any time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or business operations. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most current version. For material changes, we will notify customers by email or via a prominent notice on our website.
